A Cultivated Life

In Clematis I see the colours of my youth:

Pink and purple hues,

Deciduously framing views.

Magnolias, elegant and fragrant star shower:

Perfumed memories of a lovers scented face,

Elliptically charming space.

Emblematic Iris saturates the pond:

Fanning leaves, stemmed underground,

Accentuate the warmth now found.
